- Located on the slopes of Mount Takeyama, southeast of the city, this Shingon Buddhist temple enshrines Yakushi Nyorai as its principal deity. According to temple legend, it was founded in 594 by Soga no Umako.
In the Middle Ages, it was a large temple with many sub-temples, but it fell into ruin after being caught up in the wars that followed the Northern and Southern Courts period, and today it stands quietly as a mountain temple nestled in the forest. - Phone Number
